Charles holds degrees from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC and Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He obtained an Advanced Board Diploma from the Financial Times (FT) NED program in London, UK. He has successfully completed all the exams for the Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) program.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He and his wife, Rosiland, were married in 1990 in Maryland, where they reside with their five children.
